We’re heading off to join the throng
It’s time to celebrate

We lay our blankets on the grass
The show is underway

Are a sight to behold
Aussie flags are everywhere
And so much green and gold

Beneath the southern skies

Digeridoo’s drone rhythmic beat
To which kids dance and play
V4 Hooray, hooray, it is Australia Day
Throw some snags on the barbeque
And toast the holidays.
