V1.To my father, dear father
My apology is sincere
I criticized you
When I wasn’t thinking clear
I said you were distant
And now my heart bleeds
For you worked so hard
To meet all of our needs

V2. To my husband, dear husband
My apology is sincere
I was not always true
When I wasn’t thinking clear
I strayed and that was wrong
But I never stopped loving you
You stood by me
When friends called you a fool

CH: But that’s all in the past
And guilt is a wasted feeling
It’s all in the past
We’ve all done some healing
No more regrets
No more regrets
It’s all in the past
I have no more regrets

V3. To my children, dear children
My apology is sincere
I was not there for you
When I wasn’t thinking clear
The black cloud of depression
Trapped me in tearful pool
I couldn’t force myself
To get you off to school

V4. To my friend, dear Rachel
My apology is sincere
I I lied to you
When I wasn’t thinking clear
You confronted me
All I did was deny
No wonder you left
And all I did was cry

(repeat chorus x 2) + Instrumental , then “I have no more regrets”…

Wow... great lines and tune. Nice repetition and good melancholy melody to capture the solemness yet frankness of the piece. Very 70`s british rock style, and typical of a "musical" style. Nice AABAAB structure. Well done. Love the folk stuff. Great one Juliette!!

I have no idea why it came out that way. I cut and pasted it from my word page and it is in short lines like a poem. I will try to fix it.
