"It Will Happen Again" / Juliette_Jazz

V1 How can you love,
Yet despise someone
Time after time?
I rage within
Over pain undeserved
Eyes closed to your fury
But not blind.

V2. How can you hurt
The woman you love?
Traumatise your kids
With visions of madness
Your strong muscled arms
Used to turn me on
Now they’re weapons
The sight causes sadness

CH: Nobody’s perfect
But like drops of water on rock
My respect for you
Is wearing through
You’ve proven your worth
As a husband and Dad
But when you snap
I don’t know you

V3. How can you watch
Your loved ones cry
And act like
It’ll all be ok?
Do you think it’s
Acceptable to
Bully and put down
And be allowed to walk away?

V4. So how do I handle
This cruel situation
On the one hand I love,
The other, hate.
How do I stop
The ongoing abuse?
Report it to police?
Or accept my fate?

CH: Nobody’s perfect
But like drops of water on rock
My respect for you
Is wearing through
You’ve proven your worth
As a husband and dad
But when you snap
I don’t know you

Ending: You’re chipping away
At my heart and my mind
I replay the violence
Like I’m stuck on rewind
I need to move past it
Or I’ll go insane
But I know for a fact
It will happen again.

(fading out)
It will happen again
It will happen again
It will happen again
It will happen again

Hi, I really appreciate your comment on "The Home" I haven`t been able to get the melody to play on the sire so I am unaware of how bad it is. Is it the singer or the recording? Thanks for any advice you feel free to give me.

This sounds like a story, however, a very well told story. It is so sad, so emotional. Good jod... very nice.
