Intro:
1st vrs:
Life took a painfull turn seperating a Father from his son
The young boy held tightly to a photograph, he only had one
Time turned the boy into a man with a heart full of wonder
Countless questions he had asked yet all went unanswered
2nd:
After many years of searching a connection between the two was made
A son misinformed by bitterness, a Father only wanting to explain
The first words exchanged not pleasant, instead on the side of harsh
Passing through years of frustration a father decided to let life take it`s course

He told of birthday cards and letters sent only to be returned
Maintaining contact with his children was all he ever yearned
For years he spoke of a dream, one so clear and quite precise
Knowing in his heart the day would come he and his son would reunite

Now they share a common bond, peace and contentment btween the two
A mirror image of each other, starting a life together fresh and new
Both only looking forward, putting aside many years apart
Complete belief in one another, refreshing each of their hearts
