Lyrics by: PoetUnderGlass
Inspired by: Our children growing up in todays society
Viewed: 65 times
Preferred music genre: Rock and Pop

Intro:

1st. Vrs:
We see them run, we see them play
Big smiles bright as a sunny day
What can we do to help them grow
To make them love, to make them glow

2nd:
Our little ones are what we live for
Dont push them to fast out our doors
It is so hard to show them the way
As we are still learning day by day

Chrs:
The cage is in the corner but the snake is in the grass
We must teach our children to think and learn real fast
Make the lessons we chose be the ones that last
The cage is in the corner but theres a snake in the grass

Lead:

3rd:
Our part in this is to show them what is right
Teach them of pride and to keep they`re goals in sight
They slip quickly through our hands like sands of time
With our wisdom they will see the signs

4th:
So keep our eyes open, try to look around
Watch what they do and listen to they`re sounds
Try to keep them safe and under our wings
The longer they stay the louder they will sing

Chrs:

Lead out:

I liked it, just would quirk a few lines. "to make them love"? You can show them, but as the cliche goes "Youcan lead a horse to water, but you can`t make him drink". And "Teach them of pride" could you mean self respect?
