I was feeling low, the Christmas season was here
I needed presents for my kids with no money to spare
I turned to my friend with tears in my eyes
How can life so suddenly change, I just want to know why?
(2nd)
He drank from his coffee and with a look of sincere
He rose from his chair and he disappeared
Awhile passed on and he pulled back up the drive
He came through the door dragging something behind
(Chrs:)
He said " I dont have the answers that you are looking for"
"But here is this Christmas tree I dragged through the door"
" So lets put up the tree friend and pull the lights from the box"
" We`ll wrap it all up with decorations and stuff"

I turned to my friend and my smile began to grow
By getting this Christmas tree, how did you know?
He said " Christmas is for giving, life gets better not worse
All I can say to my friend is just let life take it`s course"
