Superman won’t come to save you
You brought this on yourself
You lied, cheated, and stabbed in the back
Now you’ll have to deal with
The consequences of your actions

Don’t think for a minute
That I’ll turn back around
When I hear your cries
I won’t care at all

You think you know something that I don’t
So you smile like the Mona Lisa
You’re a liar and a cheater
And even the Hounds of Hell
Could tell you that

Don’t think for a minute
That I’ll turn back around
When I hear your cries
I won’t care at all

I think its a great start but would be even better if you added another verse (doubled the length of the song) as it gets you in and then leaves you hanging.

to Sarah`s voice: Your voice is to soft and plain, the guitar overpowered you. A tip would be using a mnusic software like garageband, play the tune first, then sing the song in another track then merge them together, I hope that helps. Oh yes, some lines like `I won`t care at all` you should make it sound more...impactful...as if you really don`t care at all.

Your sound has to blend with the tune...like...really feel the music, and the sound`s too soft. Nice lyrics. Four stars.

I think your lyrics are good, but your melody is bland, (not the guitar) the vocal line.

On your page you state that you have trouble composing? Listening to this song I do-not think so. You have successfully expressed your feeling about an experience and that is the key to good song writing. I think you have talent and with growth in confidence, some music training and personal experience your songwriting/performing abilities will only improve. Keep it up.

yes, short and sweet. As the saying goes "Try not to bore us and get to the chorus". Hey, if R.E.M. can have a top 40 hit with "One I love" (only five lines in the song) then who knows what can happen.

To be honest, I enjoyed reading this. The lyrics are interesting, and the title is brilliant (though it`s actually "You Think You`re Mona Lisa," not "You Think Your Mona Lisa.) But it`s an overused theme, and the lyrics are a bit short. On the other hand, the short lyrics keep this from being as cliched as it very easily could be.
